I was born in the beautiful country of Chile, but the United States is now my home and a country that I love deeply. Ogden has been my hometown for the last 30 years and Saint Joseph Catholic High School my vocation for education for the past 27.I love adventure and sports. Soccer is my passion and I continue to cheer for my favorite teams (Barcelona, Cobreloa, and Real Salt Lake). I retired from coaching soccer a few years ago after coaching the Saint Joseph Catholic girls soccer team for twenty-six years. In 2013 I had the privileges and honor to be selected as the National Girls Soccer Coach of the Year by the National Federation of High Schools Association. During my tenure, SJCHS girls soccer won three State Championship and was the runner-up three times as well. I have a passion for traveling to unknown places, experiencing new cultures and nature. Education is my passion and vocation. I cannot see myself working anywhere else but in a Catholic School. I strongly believe in the mission of Catholic education. My favorite quote is from Blessed Basil Moreau (Founder of the Holy Cross Order) We shall always place education side by side with instruction; the mind will not be cultivated at the expense of the heart. While we prepare useful citizens for society, we shall likewise do our utmost to prepare citizens for heaven.
