The Cindy Lowder Service Scholarship

This scholarship will be awarded to one SJCHS Male and one SJCHS Female in the amount of $1500 each for the 2023-2024 school year.

Cindy Lowder’s friends and co-workers are proud to offer The Cindy Lowder Service Scholarship in honor of their loving friend, leader, and spiritual guide. Cindy is a graduate of SJCHS, Class of 1990. 

Cindy truly embodied everything it meant to be a part of The Saint Joseph Family. Cindy was able to cultivate an environment that was full of love and open to everyone. Coaching girls’ volleyball, tracking stats at basketball games, coordinating Booster events, working with students at retreats to further their spiritual nourishment, to breathing life into the school ambassadors. Cindy did it all, making a difference in the lives of many. Cindy had a love that reached so many people, and for that, she will always have a place in our hearts.

The following are the required criteria for the scholarship:

• Must be a rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior of Saint Joseph Catholic High School:
• Demonstrates a strong desire to and appreciation for attending Saint Joseph Catholic High School
• Demonstrates a strong desire to actively engage in service projects in and around the Saint Joseph Catholic High School Community and surrounding areas
• Demonstrates a deep love for others’ well being
• Demonstrates patterns of giving back to the Ogden/SJCHS community
• Maintains a 3.5 GPA (Please include a copy of your latest transcript)
